A variety of minor organobromine compounds are found in nature, but none are biosynthesized or required by mammals. 629-04-9, formula is C7H15Br, Name is 1-Bromoheptane. Organobromine compounds have fallen under increased scrutiny for their environmental impact., Application of C7H15Br.
Nakum, Kiran J.;Katariya, Kanu D.;Gupta, Vivek K.;Jadeja, Rajendrasinh N. research published 《 Synthesis, characterization, crystal structure and mesomorphic behavior of thiophene based homologous series》, the research content is summarized as follows. Through condensation of 4-n-alkoxybenzaldehydes with (E)-1-(4-aminophenyl)-3-(thiophen-2-yl)prop-2-en-1-one, new homologous series of rod shaped calamite liquid crystals that merge Schiff base, chalcone and thiophene units I (R = Et, n-Bu, n-heptyl, etc.) have been prepared All synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The liquid crystalline properties of the synthesized compounds were investigated using a polarizing optical microscope (POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). The results indicate that n-heptyloxy to n-tetradecyloxy derivatives exhibited monotropic nematic phase while the remaining derivatives of homologous series are non mesomorphic. The n-ethoxy derivative I (R = Et) crystallizes under monoclinic, space group P21/c with unit cell dimension a = 19.343(4) Å , b = 5.8353(9) Å , c = 16.574(4) Å , β = 98.78(2) °, V = 1848.8(7) Å 3. The dihedral angle between two Ph rings of imine linkage in compound I (R = Et) is 51.64 (2)°.
629-04-9, 1-Bromoheptane is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C7H15Br and its molecular weight is 179.1 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
1-Bromoheptane is a reagent that is used for the preparation of alkylthiophienylzinc chloride.
1-Bromoheptane is a reactive compound that is used in the preparation of p-hydroxybenzoic acid, which is an intermediate in the synthesis of many natural compounds. 1-Bromoheptane has been shown to have biological properties and to inhibit mitochondrial membrane potential. It also causes cell lysis and hepatic steatosis in mice. This compound has been shown to inhibit the activity of enzymes such as acetylcholinesterase, butyrylcholinesterase, and carboxylesterase. 1-Bromoheptane can be used as a model for studying the effects on congestive heart failure by increasing cardiac workloads or decreasing myocardial contractility., Application of C7H15Br
