Moon, Junsoo;Huh, Yoon;Kim, Seonghwan;Choe, Youngson;Bang, Joona research published 《 Reactive Core-Shell Bottlebrush Copolymer as Highly Effective Additive for Epoxy Toughening》, the research content is summarized as follows. Herein, we designed a core-shell structured bottlebrush copolymer (BBP), which is composed of rubbery poly(Bu acrylate) (PBA) core and an epoxy miscible/reactive poly(glycidyl methacrylate) (PGMA) shell, as an epoxy toughening agent. The PGMA shell allows BBP to be uniformly dispersed within the epoxy matrix and to react with the epoxy groups, while the rubbery PBA block simultaneously induced nanocavitation effect, leading to improvement of mech. properties of the epoxy resin. The mech. properties were measured by the adhesion performance test, and the tensile and fracture test using universal testing machine. When BBP additives were added to the epoxy resin, a significant improvement in the adhesion strength (2-fold increase) and fracture toughness (2-fold increase in KIc and 5-fold increase in GIc) compared to the neat epoxy was observed In contrast, linear additives exhibited a decrease in adhesion strength and no improvement of fracture toughness over the neat epoxy. Such a difference in mech. performance was investigated by comparing the morphologies and fracture surfaces of the epoxy resins containing linear and BBP additives, confirming that the nanocavitation effect and void formation play a key role in strengthening the BBP-modified epoxy resins.

Mohammad, Sk Arif;Dolui, Subrata;Kumar, Devendra;Mane, Shivshankar R.;Banerjee, Sanjib research published 《 Facile access to functional polyacrylates with dual stimuli response and tunable surface hydrophobicity》, the research content is summarized as follows. Magnetically separable and reusable Ni-Co alloy nanoparticles were employed to achieve ambient temperature reversible deactivation radical polymerization (RDRP) of Me acrylate (MA), for the first time, yielding well-defined PMA (at least up to 124 500 g mol-1) with a low dispersity (D ≤ 1.20). The controlled polymerization character of RDRP of MA was confirmed from the linear semilogarithmic plot exhibiting pseudo first order kinetics, a linear increase of the mol. weight of the polymer with monomer conversion maintaining low D and the synthesis of PMAs of varying mol. weights from 2200 to 124 500 g mol-1 with low D. In addition, linear PMA-Br was used as a macroinitiator for the synthesis of several well-defined PMA-b-poly(M) block copolymers (where “M” stands for (2-dimethylamino)ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA), tert-Bu methacrylate (TBMA) and 2,2,3,3,4,4,5,5-octafluoropentyl acrylate (OFPA)), with acceptable Ds (≤ 1.24), demonstrating the high chain-end fidelity of the macroinitiator. The synthesized PMA-b-PDMAEMA demonstrated dual pH- and thermo-responsive properties. Upon hydrolysis, the synthesized PMA-b-PTBMA leads to the formation of unprecedented carboxylic acid-functionalized PMA derivatives PMA-b-POFPA copolymers with varying OFPA mol% in the copolymer led to polymers with tunable surface hydrophobicity, as revealed by the water contact angle measurements.

Ethyl bromopyruvate is a chemical inhibitor that inhibits the enzyme pyruvate dehydrogenase, which is responsible for the conversion of pyruvic acid to acetyl-CoA. This inhibition leads to a decrease in ATP levels and can cause metabolic disorders. Ethyl bromopyruvate is used as an anthelmintic drug and in asymmetric synthesis. It is also used in the synthesis of thiostrepton, an antibiotic that has been shown to have antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pneumoniae., 70-23-5.

244205-40-1, 2-Bromophenylboronic Acid is used as an inhibitor of the hormone sensitive lipase.
2-Bromophenylboronic acid, also known as 2-Bromophenylboronic acid, is a useful research compound. Its molecular formula is C6H6BBrO2 and its molecular weight is 200.83 g/mol. The purity is usually 95%.
2-Bromophenylboronic acid is a glucose monitoring agent that has a ruthenium complex with an acidic environment. The nitro group and the amines are in close proximity to the boron center, and this proximity leads to a high nucleophilic character of the molecule. This reactivity allows 2-bromophenylboronic acid to be used as a fluorescence probe for acidic environments. 2-Bromophenylboronic acid also inhibits secretase enzymes, which are involved in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. It is an inhibitor of γ-secretase, which is responsible for cleaving the amyloid precursor protein (APP), and it has shown efficacy against biphenyl, an anticancer drug that binds to benzodiazepine receptors. 2-Bromophenylboronic acid is also an enantiopure compound because all four substituents are different from each other., Application In Synthesis of 244205-40-1

Dehydrobromination, Grignard reactions, reductive coupling, Wittig reaction, and several nucleophilic substitution reactions are some of the principal reactions which involve organic bromides. 244205-40-1, formula is C6H6BBrO2, Name is (2-Bromophenyl)boronic acid. Organic compounds having carbon bonded to bromine are called organic bromides. Application In Synthesis of 244205-40-1.

Mkrtchyan, Satenik;Jakubczyk, Michal;Lanka, Suneel;Pittelkow, Michael;Iaroshenko, Viktor O. research published 《 Cu-catalyzed arylation of bromo-difluoro-acetamides by aryl boronic acids, aryl trialkoxysilanes and dimethyl-aryl-sulfonium salts: new entries to aromatic amides》, the research content is summarized as follows. A mechanism-guided discovery of a synthetic methodol. that enables the preparation of aromatic amides N-phenethyl-1-naphthamide, 3-chloro-N-cyclopropylbenzamide, N,N-dibenzyl-4-fluorobenzamide, etc. from 2-bromo-2,2-difluoroacetamides 2-bromo-2,2-difluoro-N-(2-phenylethyl)acetamide (I), 2-bromo-N-cyclopropyl-2,2-difluoroacetamide (II), N,N-dibenzyl-2-bromo-2,2-difluoroacetamide (III), etc. utilizing a copper-catalyzed direct arylation was described. Readily available and structurally simple aryl precursors such as aryl boronic acids e.g., naphthalen-1-ylboronic acid, aryl trialkoxysilanes e.g., (3-chlorophenyl)trimethoxysilane and dimethyl-aryl-sulfonium salts e.g., (4-fluorophenyl)dimethylsulfanium trifluoromethanesulfonate were used as the source for the aryl substituents. The scope of the reactions was tested, and the reactions were insensitive to the electronic nature of the aryl groups, as both electron-rich and electron-deficient aryls were successfully introduced. A wide range of 2-bromo-2,2-difluoroacetamides as either aliphatic or aromatic secondary or tertiary amides (e.g., I, II, III) was also reactive under the developed conditions. The described synthetic protocols displayed excellent efficiency and were successfully utilized for the expeditious preparation of diverse aromatic amides in good-to-excellent yields. The reactions were scaled up to gram quantities.
